Rub the meat with crushed garlic olive oil and salt. Add 1 cup water to bottom of pan. Cover well and bake until tender. Shred with 2 forks and rewarm in liquid. Drizzle with an onion jam.

Slice onions onto the bottom of the crockpot. Place meat on top. Season with salt and pepper. Add about 1/4 cup of red wine. Cover and cook till meat is falling apart and ready to be shredded. Shred meat and mix into liquid and onions from the bottom of the pot.

Sliced onions, garlic, salt, pepper, olive oil. If you have rosemary and thyme then add. Bake in the crock pot without water added on low for 8-12 hours. If it starts off frozen then cook on high for 4-6 hours first.

Onion jam is onions sliced or diced and cooked on low for about 1-3 hours. You can add any or all of sugar, salt, pepper, red/white wine, while it’s cooking. You can also add herbs like rosemary, thyme, oregano, Italian spice.
