Wayfair is not a manufacturer. It is an internet mall where different stores and brands sell their stuff.
There is a range of qualities so you would have to read reviews and specifications for a specific item.
Macys is a store. Wayfair is a mall like Amazon.

Right, I understand this. I'm asking if they're trustworthy or if they sell cheap knockoffs of the items they display.

Who is the “they” you are asking about. There is no monolithic they. The furniture is what it is and you would need to take a look at the specifications for each item.
I bought an upholstered bed frame from a place through Wayfair and it was fine.
On the other hand personally I would be hesitant about a bunk bed because a child could be killed if it isn’t solidly made or there is a defect. I would only buy from a reputable source because of the risks. 🤷♀️

"They" meaning Wayfair. When one buys from AliExpress, the items are sometimes completely different than the pictures. What I'm trying to figure out is, am I going to get a product that's completely different than the one displayed?

I've bought a few furniture items from them. I think you pretty much get what you're looking at. Read reviews and look into each item. I bought cabinets that weren't great quality, but I think that was clear from the site and I knew what I was getting.

Wayfair is an established company which sells a wide variety of furniture, from the cheapest to the more high-end.. I have bought platform beds from there as well as other items, and I have been satisfied with the quality as well as the speed of delivery. The reviews are very helpful and from my experience were truthful. I wouldnt buy from wayfair without checking bothe the product and the manufacturers reviews.
