That’s when the real day camps begin.
In July it’s “school camp” for boys
It’s a continuation of the school year but they end at 12 and then do swimming and another activity until they go home at around 2:45
They have their regular Rebbi in the morning and an older teen usually comes to take over for the next 2 hours

Second half day camp is also not full day.
Almost every camp boys have seperate learning rebbe first and counselors come later.

Well, pretty much all frum camps begin with learning… sleep away camps too

Does any camp of kids going into primary do that?
One year my sons 4yr old Morah hired a teen boy to play sports with them and be an assistant. The parents complained. It made them uncomfortable. So she had to let him go.
So I wonder if this is really done.
