I have been to a friend who served mashed beans with either liver or sliced tongue on top

Or sweetbread served with rice.

Any idea if can buy flaky dough circles in Israel?

I haven't seen any but you can buy malawach dough - it's round and very similar to puff pastry. I just used it for meat knishes and it was very good. They are big round circles though so I would make 2 big knishes or 4 smaller ones out of each round.

RA mom I'm also finding the number of courses/meals to be completely nauseating. I literally can't think of food anymore.

My friend gave me the idea of grapefruit as an appetizer.

What salads do you serve? I can't do yt anymore....

The ones I do most are crisp romaine lettuce, red onion, grape tomatoes and kirbies well dressed and tossed with olive oil, garlic powder, kosher salt and coarse black pepper.

Sometimes I add cubes of avocado above.

Or baby spinach leaves, red onion and grape tomatoes drizzled with a balsamic vinaigrette.

Or tomatoes, avocado and hearts of palms tossed gently with a drop of lemon, dill, garlic and kosher salt.
