I'm not the biggest fashionista but I think all metallics were in a few years ago.
I got these for my daughter today with navy stripes for $45 in a jewish store in lkwd.
I think most stores are on sale already...

My daughters camp requires legs to be covered. Short of wearing a long skirt every day, or white long socks, what can she wear with these?

We got adorable denim geox sneakers for that age (straight from their website) but I don't see them available anymore. Shame, I was thinking of getting a second pair.
Just stay away from velcro for that age.

Funny that you're the second person mentioning Velcro but she specifically wants Velcro to avoid the hassle of tying shoes. And aren't Vejas with Velcro?

She can wear velcro just make sure it's more mature. Kids definitely wear adidas, and vejas with velcro at that age.

The silver velcro ones look too young for that age.
We've bought elastic laces that we tied and knotted once. Fantastic.

This year we got cute Geox sneakers that looked like they were supposed to be lace, with the holes and all, but they were actually slip on and held in place with some sort of elastic underneath I guess.

I would also recommend ditching the Velcro- there were a few links to step-ins, which are more “in”.
I would just check to make sure that even though it is your daughter’s preference not to tie laces, please make sure that she knows how. Don’t hate me but I’ve seen many girls her age that simply never mastered this life skill.

The knit sneaker shoes from Geox (last post on the first page) are the cutest. The Puma shoes are also cute, if you're comfortable with Pride sneakers.
