Looking for a boys yeshiva that teaches meaning of the words for the tfila.
If not in usa, an English speaking country.

I know this doesn't answer your question, but if you feel this is lacking in the curriculum, maybe it would be easier to supplement your son's local education with a sefer or online shiurim that specializes in this topic, rather than sending him far away to find a yeshiva that includes this subject in their curriculum.

That being said, is this subject actually so rarely addressed?

Thank you for your answer.
We are trying to figure it out if it’s a wide spread problem or not.
So far most adults we asked said only whoever really wants to know will work hard.
Not so much looking to send the child there as to bring the curriculum 😊

Biur tefilah is a basic and common part of the curriculum (chabad)

It sounds like it's there, but not necessarily regarded as a priority.

My girls in Lakewood have biur tefilla and learn meaning of the tefillas. My 3rd grader just finished shemone esrei. She made a whole scrapbook. My older girls every time they add a new tefilla to davening they learn the meaning line by line.

Ds9 is in a yiddish speaking non chasidish cheder in lkwd and learned the meaning of the words of shmoneh esrei before they started saying it in school. But in yiddish, not English. Not sure if this helps you:)

I don’t remember with my older kids, but my 10 year old son learned the meaning of each things before learning how to say it.

My son is in first grade in Lakewood, and he learned the meaning of the words as they add new tefillos. I definitely remember him telling me all about the birchas hashachar and what we are thanking Hashem for each one. I'm not sure if they learn every single one of the words as they learn more, but I think they definitely learn the ideas. Like, I don't know if he knows how to translate each and every word of Ashrei, but he knows the gist of the tefillos. Its easily remedied if its something a boy missed in elementary school. Artscroll is wonderful and there are all kinds of translations - like overall paragraph form, or word-by-word.

As a teacher I found that curriculum to be more appropriate for grades 7-10, not the younger grades it says it's for.
The ani tefillah curriculum by Tamar nussbaum is incredible for younger grades, grades 1-5/6
