I’m on jerseycare and at one point I was able to get free shoes for flat feet. But you need to buy from a store that accepts insurance. Last time I went in they would only cover up to $65 and because shoes in that store cost more than elsewhere the hassle of getting a prescription and getting it filled wasn’t worth it anymore.

I have arched feet and got free orhtepedic shoes. Not all podiatrists were willing to write for me a prescription but the generous ones were more than happy. It also depends on your insurance. You might have to get arches as well and that the doctor write medical necessary on the prescription. I am writing all this as I encountered many problems in the past on this matter.
