can growth hormone bring on puberty?

my dd is taking homeopathic growth hormone.

4 weeks in and she got her first period.

its not precocious but wondering if there is a connection?

I asked my practitioner when she prescribed it if it will bring on mensturation as I wanted it to happen naturally and she said its has nothing to do...?

If she’s the right age I think this is one of those situations where you’ll never really know one way or the other

I took growth hormone as a mid/preteen
How old is your daughter?
What on earth is homeopathic growth hormone?
Has she had other signs of puberty yet?
To my knowledge, starting growth hormone can definitely trigger puberty. Not necessarily a period though.

No it doesn’t, my children were on gh treatments for years. My child who started reaching puberty early was before we started , and the reason why we started( she was small and started puberty at 8 ) .it’s different hormones Everyone naturally produces growth hormone Puberty hormone is estrogen for girls that’s not in the growth hormone pen. My outher child when she got her period was still able to take Growth hormones for a few years and still grow after

on a old post it was posted that in the olden days girls got their cycle late cos of inadequate nutrition.

nowadays period comes earlier cos good nutrition.

isn't later better so more chances of growth? in a way they were healthier - ate less junk etc

It can be very individual.

My sister is a doctor and she told me that not everyone who gets their period, gets it regularly in the beginning. This plays a role. She has seen patients who grew in a month when their period didn't come (skipped period). And some will get sporadic periods in the beginning.

Thinking of my own DD's, one had a HUGE growth spurt (around 4 inches) after she got her period. All of them continued to grow (perhaps slower) after they got their periods.

This wasn't true across the board. Not everyone gets their period earlier these days. Genetics also plays a role, not just nutrition.

In terms of growth, later is usually thought of as better. But as I posted, many girls continue to grow even after getting their period.

Something about the hormones for growth and those for period and how they interact. I'm not the doctor so can't say enough....just remember the conversation.

(I have a very petite daughter so went thru the whole should-we-do-growth-hormones parsha. We didn't - she had young bone age and B"H grew on her own at a later age than most.)
