I am trying hard to achieve darkness in the room which is supposedly healthier for melatonin etc. Have you found a good sound machine that has the option of NO LIGHT? Because mine does not.
Also I like the Ocean sound...

Yes, there sound machines without light. I keep one of my kids sound machines inside the closet. You might want to try that too.

I love the classic marpac white noise machine. I’ve been using it for decades now. No extras just a very reliable, simple white noise machine with mechanical fan noise rather than electronic recordings.

The homemedics noise machine is very junky. Owned a few and the wire moves the wrong way it turns off. Rather buy a different one.

You can get black out stickers to cover and block the light...

You can try a small fan. You won’t get the ocean, but you will get white noise with no lights

I realized now that there are different sound choices, and the one you choose has a light. I tried duct tape, doesn't cover, will have to try finding the electric tape

I have this one. It’s great! I’ve bought 4 of them now-2 for each of my kids rooms, one at my in-laws, and one at my babysitters house lol
