I hate baseboards!

I hate baseboards or moldings or trims or whatever you want to call them! They do nothing but collect dust and need to be cleaned way too frequently for their usefulness! I literally wiped them all down under 2 weeks ago and they are covered in dust again!
And they need to be cleaned on hands on knees and or squatting or bent upside down which is currently impossible due to the state of my prego belly! So they will remain dirty and dusty!

I do not mind washing floors or wiping counters or even washing dishes but I cannot stand cleaning baseboards.

I literally do not understand what they were created for. They do not look pretty and they do not serve any utilitarian purpose. My bathroom does not have any and it looks perfectly fine.
I think they should be banned for eternity. And one day, Gd willing, when I own my own home, I will have them all removed and banished from my existence.

Baseboards serve a useful purpose. The cover the seam — often a very uneven seam — where your floor meets the wall.
