3yo dd has pretty bad separation anxiety. She also is anxious in general, for ex she'd refuse to go to gan because she was afraid of children hitting her.
Now it's time for camp, what do I say when she tells me "I don't like camp because you're going to leave"
I'm trying to get therapy for her but it's taking a while

Validate.
Your going to miss me and I'll miss you, too.
I will see you when I pick you up later.
Yoi can send along a teddy or other security object she can hug when she misses you.
Validate validate validate.
Also, come up with solutions when someone hits. Role play how she should proceed.

Can she have a special toy or teddy from home to take with as a reassurance object?
Keep telling her mommy will come after you do all these things and list them out for her. So like, first you'll have davening and then some playing, then snack, then more playing, then some lunch, then craft, and playing outside and then mommy will come and fetch you.

Has she ever gotten hit in Gan? Witnessed another child get hit in Gan? If there’s a basis for her concerns they need to be addressed

So I do all that: validate, send a security object etc. I've tried the role playing.
I'm not sure if anyone actually hit her, the morah didn't see. She definitely has seen other kids getting hit. I'm not sure how to address the hitting thing, because isn't that somewhat normal in a playgroup?

She definitely has seen other children hitting. The morah thinks a child once stepped on her hand by mistake while she was sitting on the floor, and ever since then she scared of him.
How do I address it?

Keep her home with mommy?
She’ll have enough time when she’s older to man up.. she’s still little!

That's a super extreme reaction and not necessary

If you watch shows , there’s an episode of daniel tiger starting preschool.
He has a song “grownups come back”.
There are lots of books for little kids on this subject too.
Dr Becky of good inside also has content for grown ups on handling kids anxiety.

Thank you for the ideas. Any book ideas you can think of?
Are you familiar with the Dr Becky content? A lot of the books or podcasts about kids with anxiety were geared toward older kids
