For those who really know prices, what's normal/high/low for different items, can you share where the best places are to buy at the best prices?

fruits
veggies
dairy products
cereals
pasta
frozen items
chicken
other groceries
paper goods
...

Thank you!

Anything non dairy or meat I started buying in Walmart. Even the regular brands not WM brand is much cheaper than anywhere else
It’s annoying to shop in few different stores but it’s been saving me a significant amount of money each week

That's what I'm thinking. I need to start shopping more mindful of prices, even if it means different stores. My basic shopping for my family has become ridiculously expensive! I'm just so bad at this... TMI

I do similar to Mustard but Amazon Fresh instead of walmart. I have saved a lot of money. I stick to my local store for anything I need a jewish brand like meat, cheese some pas yisroel items. But anything I can get on amazon I do. Where I live its free delivery too. Does lakewood have this?

Aldi for fruits, whatever they have on sale. Iceberg lettuce is very cheap there. Nuts and cereals(not name brand-ou), rice and macaroni.
If you look at sales before you go shopping you can stock up on sale items!

Aldi for fruits. Brown sugar, sugar, flour, mustard etc. at Walmart. And for anything else, I find that bingo and evergreen are usually the cheapest. Paper goods are cheaper by the Jewish stores btw. Personally I prefer evergreens meat & chicken over bingo even though it’s sometimes a tad more expensive. Oh and shop rite has the best sales on pasta.

It’s a chain store with really good prices on certain things. We get fruits, ketchup, cereal, snacks, nuts. There aren’t any in Lakewood but there’s one in Howell and one in brick.

There's also a new Aldi in Toms River, Route 70 right across Massachusets Ave/70.

Walmart has grocery delivery, and if you buy a Walmart+ membership it is unlimited free deliveries. It's much easier to shop at multiple stores when you don't have to drive from store to store.

Sorry, pet peeve. Walmart has a Walmart+ membership which allows you to pre pay for deliveries. Just like Amazon prime is a program which allows you to pre pay for expedited deliveries.

Check the weeklies for sales. NPGS tends to be cheapest from the Jewish stores when not on sale.
