Any white top that is absolutely not see through will generally be as hot as wearing a shell under a top. White is obviously the palest of colors and the outlines of what you're wearing underneath will almost always show through (to varying degrees). Anything that blocks out everything will generally be a heavy fabric or one that is not breathable.

I ordered this for my DD and it disappointed. The medium fit her but showed her bra line in the back. The large fit her around the bust, but then the color area is kind of loose, like you can look in if you get too close.
I find that shein has weird fits sometimes. I guess maybe it could work for the right figure, but it's going back in our case.

I have this and I don't consider it see through. My daughter in not comfortable with anything showing so she wears a shell under.
My daughter tried on many white tshirts in Jewish, Brooklyn stores and this Pashmina one was the least see through for her.

There's a white ribbed t-shirt from the company Jupe basics that is great!
Perfect neckline and not see through.
