I clicked on something and now when I listen to something on my phone the english captions come up. How do I delete the captions?

I don’t know (probably somewhere in Settings) but it’s an amazing new world thanks to artificial intelligence that can interpret speech and make captioning on the spot. Major benefits include for the deaf and hard of hearing, and also for foreign language communications (like communicating with my cleaning lady).

Android. It happens with more than one thing on my phone. I looked in settings but idk.

I'm a bit confused. OP, in the heading you say that the captions appear when you speak. Then in your first post you say that when you listen to something on your phone the captions appear.
Do you mean when you're watching a video on YouTube? When you're using the microphone while composing a message? Please clarify.

When I listen to a whatsapp voice note or when I use the microphone on Google and then it starts talking the answer, in all of those cases the captions appear in English across my screen.

Baruch Hashem I figured it out. It's like a rectangle on the volume options that you click on and off. Thanks everyone.
