You need a lawyer to do it properly. I started one. You need to make sure it is a legitimate Corporation in your state.
There are non profits which aren’t charities and any contributions aren’t tax deductible. Charitable organizations are more difficult to set up and administer.
My non profit is not charitable but was set up as a neighborhood organization because we wanted appropriate corporate structure.

What kind of lawyer does this? Why are charitable organizations more difficult to administer?

I used a lawyer who specialized in non-profits but really any competent corporate lawyer could handle it or refer you to someone with that expertise.
Because deductions made to charitable organizations are tax deductible you are subject to audits and have to be much more careful with the accounting. Also you need to make certain that none of your activities are not in compliance with regulations regarding charitable corporations.
Non profits that are not charities don't have these kinds of issues although they still have to comply with whatever state regulations are required in order to keep their incorporation status valid.
