Unasked for refund from app google play store? hacker?

I paid for an app on google play store. Then two days later I get an email it's being refunded to me (I didn't request a refund) and it said: your purchase from ______(there was a name I didn't recognize, looked like an individual) has been cancelled. Any charges will be refunded. Then it showed the name of the app and the price. How did this happen if I didn't request a refund? Then today, google notified me that a bunch of saved passwords were in a breach on a third party site or app. So I went to google manager from my computer and started changing some passwords, but the passwords the google password manager was showing, was not the current password that I have saved on the sites. So now I'm confused. (I didn't go to the link in the email to check the google password manager, because I was worried it wasn't really from google, even though it looked like it was. I typed in google password manager into my computer and went to it that way.) What is going on and what should I do?
