I heard There is a nice path somewhere along a body of water. Just don’t know where. I’m visiting for one day and would love to walk somewhere nice in the monsey airmont area. Tia

There are a couple of beautiful places , 25 minutes outside of Monsey. Nyack and Piermont are beautiful towns on the Hudson, if you want to drive a bit. Piermont also has a quaint town with little shops. Nyack is a drive straight down rt. 59 till the end, then make a left till the end. You'll have to pay for parking . It's called Nyack Beach, but we never go as far as the beach. We walk down a dirt path on the edge of the river. It's shady and cool. There are picnic tables there, as well. Have fun!

Rockland lake state park. Very scenic. The walk around the lake takes about an hour.

There is also a pedestrian walkway along the Cuomo Bridge (formerly the Tappan Zee). You enter from either the Rockland or the Westchester side and can walk all the way or part of the way with a couple of lookout points. Parking is available with bathrooms in South Nyack. https://mariomcuomobridge.ny.g.....-path
If you want to go a little farther, there the Walkway over the Hudson with entry in Poughkeepsie or Highland, New York. https://walkway.org/
In nearby Marlboro there's an historic site called the Gomez Mill House that was once occupied by a Jewish family. It's currently closed for renovations, but you can drive by https://www.gomez.org/. Kedem has a winery with tastings on the same road http://www.kedemwinery.com/
Finally, you can go fruit picking on your way home. http://lawrencefarmsorchards.org/
