Eating 10 hours a day is not really intermittent fasting. That’s basically just not eating after supper.

Which for a lot of people is when they put away lots of mindless calories, watching tv etc

I did it. It helped. It gave a boost of discipline in order to have discipline elsewhere

kind of but you’re finishing supper at 6 which is pretty early.

The original intermittent fasting is 8/16
Most common is eating between hours of 12-8
Or choose your 8 hour window ...
Ideally calorie deficit is the way to lose weight
So just cuz you’re eating in 8 hour window doesn’t mean to pig out and eat whatever .

I can't say if it's called intermittent fasting. But stopping to eat at 6 is a healthy practice in and of itself and better than midnight snacking.

Yes! Even a 12 hour fast is healthy and you will likely lose on a 14 hour fast.

Late hour snacking is what causes most people's weight gain.
