There’s not a lot of options for womens only workouts where I live( OOT, obviously). I feel kind of stymied by the number of things I can’t do anymore since becoming religious like swimming (nowhere has womens only pool hours, or playing competitive sports which I used to love. I’m thinking of starting a frum womens hiking club. We could all get our exercise, be fully tznius, and even bring the kids. Maybe we could go on Sunday afternoons or something. I know that’s hard for working moms (trust me I’m a working mom!) but I don’t have any better ideas right now . What are peoples thoughts. Does this sound like a good idea or would most moms be too busy?

Sounds fun to me! I grew up in a hiking family. My husband doesn't seem very interested.

I posted above some ideas for Brooklyn hikes which are more like walks then hikes; Marine Park Nature Center, The Brooklyn Bridge, Manhattan Beach, The Highline NYC.

This group isn't exclusively for women, but many of the hikes are more than 50% women, and you can always check the RSVP list to see who's going, as well as come with some of your friends. And if you're uncomfortable hiking around men, you can still see where they're going to get ideas and then go there the following week when they're somewhere else.
