fermented beets. started showing bubbles yesterday. today bubbles turned brown and beets are half brown- floated to the top.

it smells fine and the liquid is a nice burgundy colour.

is this safe to drink?

its only 5 days but I think it ferments quicker in warm weather.

I only ferment with an airlock so I'm not exactly sure how it works without one. I'd prob scoop off the brown bubbles and wait another day or two tun see how it looks.

I use an airlock too. this never really happened. I already strained it and put it in fridge.
colour and taste is fine. wondering if its really ok.

I'd probably use it and assume it's fine. The beets prob weren't so fresh or something.
