Twisted Evil

Our heat pump broke in March, and has not worked since.
The technician has been here since 4pm. When I returned home from walking the dogs at 9pm, all of a sudden there were two techs, with head lamps, spotlights, the whole nine yards.
It is now past 11pm.
Where is the hair-pulling emoji???????

(The machine is still under warranty, but that's another story. Banging head Banging head

Ummmmm what? Kick them out. They should come back tomorrow with someone more competent. They should have been able to troubleshoot long time ago.

But this is their third visit. The guys don't want to leave until it is fixed. Ack

You kick them out they may not come back too quick. It's ac season and they are probably really busy.

I tried not to comment, but your total lack of appreciation for them working for hours in this extreme heat wave is appalling.

As someone else said, HVAC guys are extremely busy right now, and they could probably do 2 or 3 other jobs in the time they're taking to figure out your issue.

How bout offer them a cold drink or something?

It's better than abandoning a customer in need.

Have they explained to you what they are checking?

They finally succeeded! B'H!!

Yes, I plied them with ice-cold drinks! I held up flashlights so they could see better. The second tech was the first tech's boss.

They are paid by the hour, and their bill for three visits looks like it will be 1k + just for labour. But it sure beats buying a new unit. Phew!!! Apparently, these newer machines have such complex wiring that the techs spend much of their time troubleshooting with the techs from head office. Because of high demand, it took the guys a long time to get through.

I saw the inside of the machine; it was a nest of wires and printed circuit boards.
Thanks for listening to me vent!
