I mean the sort of stress that makes you say ‘boy, I really deserve to eat whatever I want right now!’ That’s where I’m holding. I need to lose 10 lbs but food is my best friend right now and having to structure my food in any way shape or form seems impossible.

lean into that then? but choose quality, more nutrient dense food. instead of coffee with a chemical creamer, go real deal with real cream. instead of a cheap candy bar, go for quality. salads with good oil and avocado instead of lowfat store bottle dressing. actual bread instead of twice as many rice cakes. maybe that will satisfy you right away with less, instead of eating more of what you "allow" and hoping you feel better. bake a cake instead of a snack cake in cellophane.
