I would like to know the difference from using No Boiling Required Noodles vs. Boiled Noodles? What's the difference the finish dish pros & cons?
Which do you recommend for a Spinach/Cheese Lasagna?

Thanks,

I don't really like how the precooked comes out in my lasagna since it's not as real tasting.

I do end up using it many times since it's just so easy!

I use regular uncooked noodles, never add extra water, and the lasagna is delish. Ymmv.

thanks for responses - if using the uncooked noodles any suggestion on how to handle the noodles so they don't break? What kind of pot to boil?

I really dont like the texture of the no boil. Instead I soak the regular noodles in hot water for 20 minutes until they are pliable. It comes out much better.

I use a regular pot, it gets soft very quickly and it bends I usually don't have it that it cracks.

Thanks,

You can use regular lasagna noodles to make lasagna and you don't even need to precook them (don't buy the precooked version, they don't taste good).
Here's a great spinach lasagna recipe, tells you how to prep and bake it so you don't have to preboil the noodles before you start.

I don't cook them, I put them in dry and hard.

When you put raw noodles in don't you need a lot of liquid to make it cook? How do you not get soupy lasagna?

I use 9 pieces of uncooked regular noodles.

I use 15 oz can of tomato sauce - add some oregano and pepper.

Pour some sauce on bottom of 9 x 13 disposable pan

put down 3 uncooked noodles.

Spoon some tomato sauce on top of noodles and spread.

Put on cheese filling on top of noodles.

Put another 3 noodles on top - repeat.

Put another 3 noodles on top - repeat.

fill the 15 oz can 1/2 way with water. Swirl so the tomato juice on bottom and sides mixes in.

Pour the extra water around the sides of lasagna.

Cover tightly and bake 350 for 45 minutes - one hour.

The noodles are drier and more chewy than pre-cooked - but I LIKE IT BETTER that way! Try it.

I personally like best boiling regular noodles Al dente and making that way. I find that when I just put it straight it doesn’t get the texture I like it and I don’t really love the no boil noodles

You do need liquid and it all gets absorbed when baked at the directed temperatures/covered uncovered instructions.

If you don't want to wash an extra pot and want to pre-cook the noodles, try this.

Put the raw noodles in the lasagna pan.

Cover noodles with boiling water.

Cover pan with foil.

Wait 20 minutes. Drain water, remove noodles.

Now you have pre-cooked noodles without using an extra pot!
