And Im SO FRUSTRATED!
I need a vacation ASAP
Myself, DH, 7.5 month old baby
We are located In NY
We are not willing to fly
We are willing to drive
We are hoping to get away for about 4 days
Not for Shabbos
Need daily minyan - could be driving distance
Do not need kosher food, willing to bring our own
Seeking for a place that is next to boating/light hiking/nice views

Why, Oh why are these guidelines so difficult to match??
Where am I going wrong????? Im so frustrated I could cry

lol same boat with 8 month old. Don’t need minyan.
Bigger issue is things to do that are compatible with a baby. My husband can’t handle just relaxing we need a schedule of stiff to do

How about upstate New York - Catskills region plenty to do in the summertime. Can you rent a bungalow mid week? You can do swimming, bowling, horseback riding, hiking, etc.

Look up Jiminy Peak (2 mountain amusement parks which may not be appropriate with a baby, but do research it in case something is interesting).

Google things to do around Jiminy Peak. Google hotels, hikes, boating, whatever it is you want, near Jiminy Peak.

Chabad minyanim and food. They may also be able to answer questions about the area.

(Is this the first vacation you’ve taken? I’m not asking to be disrespectful, just to understand so we know to tailor our responses)

So this is your first diy trip?

I first pick a location based on what I want to do or see

If you have a location I then book hotel

I try to use hotel points

Then I make a more detailed itinerary (but that’s me. You can play it by ear if that’s your style) by lots of googling. TripAdvisor is good. So is mommy poppins for kid focused activities

I always save to my email and print in the event of poor cell service. I print all addresses and phone numbers so I can confirm on day of and add to gps

Thats what I do

Hunter/Tannersville was the first place that came to mind, but Onset, New Hampshire, Poconos, and Vermont could all work. A lot will depend on price. What's your nightly budget for lodging?

You can also put the place you're interested into the imamother search bar. Search Poconos. Search Berkshires. Search jiminy peak. Etc.
