If you can put your baby in a baby carrier you can go almost anywhere. Will baby be happy, and are you strong enough to do it? Lots of good location suggestions in this thread.

How about upstate New York - Catskills region plenty to do in the summertime. Can you rent a bungalow mid week? You can do swimming, bowling, horseback riding, hiking, etc.

Perfect!!!

If you want a more high end place, check out the equinox in Manchester, Vermont. Chabad is nearby.

Ok Ok so this was on my list toi research
But I didnt get too far
Because I dont know anyone irl who went there.
So where am I supposed to start with booking a hotel, planning itinerary...?

We were there three years ago.
Most people stay in hotels in nearby Saratoga. Lake George is mostly motels. (Personally, we stayed by the Best Western in Lake George. Very outdated but it was clean and great location). Book through a travel site like Priceline, or through points if you have.

Chabad of Saratoga has a daily minyan in Lake George for the vacationers. It’s in an open tent in a parking lot. Google for the info, you need to reach out to to the Rabbi there.

We brought all our own food. We did stop in Monroe NY on the way for breakfast. (Coming from Lakewood, it was on the way)

There is so many things to do there. We particularly enjoyed the Steam Boat tour, and just walking around the avenue visiting all the cute little shops.

You can PM me for more info! I can send you our itinerary

It's not weird, but I wouldn't go there with a baby. Save it for when dc is older.

I would go with Poconos or tannersville

Of course I read your posts.

I guess weird is a pejorative term and I don’t understand it in relation to picking a travel destination. It might be a figure of speech but I’m not sure what it means here

I personally think Lancaster is boring AF. But I don’t think it’s weird. Does it meet your criteria? Not really? I don’t know if there’s boating or hiking there. Most people go to farms and amusement park and Amish Tours. But it’s not weird to go

It doesn't seem to fit your criteria of boating/light hiking/views. I mean, I guess you can find light hikes anywhere, depending on your definition on "light."

Also, if you are going during ben hazmanim, you'll be on vacation with a lot of kids. Is that okay?

I'd personally do something near a pool or hotel with a pool, nice environment lake george sounds great or tannersville... rent a boat, there's a little amusement park in lake george just went to - lots of outdoorsy stuff and nice to get out in the fresh air ... bring a travel BBQ, pack food in coolers you can get some stuff on the way up...
