Something I can't mess up on?
I don't have those special gum or stabilizers or whatever it is that people who are experienced use.
Just looking for a good dessert with no gluten.
Thanks a lot!

Do you have a good pesach dessert that would work for you?

Any ice cream / sherbert / chocolate and nuts type of thing should work. Good luck!

Does it have to be a cake or cookies? Baked apples are easy, and you can serve them with vanilla ice cream

If you tell us what kind of dessert you usually make we can give you more targeted ideas.

If you like ice cream or sorbets, those are very easy to make gluten free. Rice Krispy treats or peanut chews, also easy, just make sure all the ingredients are gf, most are.

If you like cake, you can substitute a gluten free flour. Some of them you can use equally to regular flour.

Nowadays there are plenty of gluten free cake mixes that are pareve. I make a bunch of cakes and stick them in my freezer. Then I’ll pull out some before Shabbat and either serve it as pound cake or melt chocolate over it for something more decadent.

Pavlova with whipped cream and berries or lemon curd is delicious and easy and naturally gluten free. There are also a bunch of flourless chocolate cakes and brownies that are great.

Rice Krispie treats. The ones with fluff or the ones with peanut butter aka peanut chews (or both).

Make sure the rice crispies you buy do not have malt in it, many brands do. Taanug sold in frum stores is a good brand.

You need to check all ingredients, you also need to be aware of the person you are cooking for. Some people who eat gluten free are fine with any ingredient that doesn’t generally contain gluten (ie non grain products- peanut butter, margarine, fluff, etc) other need you to be extremely careful that every item is labeled gluten-free & might need you to use separate utensils, as well. It depends on the reason for avoidance (celiac vs other sensitivities) and the degree of there sensitivity.

The blog Downshiftology has a really good chocolate cake that does not at all taste gluten free. No gums in it but it does call for 3 types of flour.

Thank you for all of the ideas!
This is for someone with celiac so it has to be completely gluten free.

To clarify, 3 gluten free flours. I made it as a birthday cake for a celiac.
