I always used braggs. meant to be the best.
I was just advised to use a brand with the heimishe hechsherim that I always use.
there is glicks, liebers, gefen,
any recommendation which one with the mother is good quality.

Does anyone know if apple cider vinegar needs a good hechsher? Don't mean to derail this thread. I just want to know if it falls into the same catagory as flour, sugar, salt etc..

Many years ago, (1989 I think), there was an issue
with many vinegars that had heimish hechsherim. The one that was good, was heinz. I've been loyal to heinz / o-u ever since then.
(maybe something changed since then, but usually it's rumors from someone trying to get market share.)

Apple cider vinegar is not in the same category as regular vinegar.
It actually does not even contain chometz as it’s made from fermented apples
Op, call the ou. I have called them regarding products that do not have an ou (sometimes another hechsher) and they are very knowledgeable. They usually ask for a picture of the item which you send through email.

From the mother seems to be that it's unrefined and unfiltered. Does that make it more affective?

I bought the liebers. its lighter not so cloudy as braggs. its also cheaper than braggs. makes me think its not as "real"....
