We'll be shopping for a suit and hat for my son's mitzvah. Neither of us is savvy about current styles. He's tall and slim and currently wears Armando Martillo suit separates. He would happy to keep going with those.
Looking for recommendations for a suit, hat, and shirt.
We may go to Lakewood if anyone has specific recommendations of stores.

If you are going in store, his place is a great option for a middle of the range bar mitzva suit. If you can, try to go this week or early next week before all the boys are off.
It's hard to recommend styles, because everyone has there own preferences and fit. The salespeople can help you with that.

They have great non iron white shirts
They fit very well for suits or separate pants and jacket
They sell basically everything including ties, belts, cuff links and shoes
More than one location- I think I would recommend the one on River Avenue.

When my tall thin son went to the Hat Box, they found a slim suit that looked gorgeous on him. The slim cut made such a difference.
