Our love, Our Life
I scarcely remember our wedding or first date
Yet everyday you remind me of the life we were zoche to create
Our life is composed of messes and spills
You comfort me because you love me still
We deeply except each other each wart and flaw
Each of our children inspires in us awe
With gratitude to the one above
Who gifted us with this perfectly imperfect love
With gratitude that I was zoche to be your wife
And build this often messy life
Our home isn’t built on luxuries and vacations
But rather on humor and low expectations
We may not be swimming in fine jewelry and cars
But we share our feelings over coffee and candy bars
Our love is deeper and stronger than a storybook romance
We survive day by day and try to make time to dance
Our brochos are more special than any material thing
I couldn’t possibly imagine when you gave me the ring
That you would stand by me through anger and tears
That you wouldn’t run from my anxiety and fears
Because we focus on our marital goals
We were zoche to bring into the world three beautiful souls
As we make our way through a world often cold
I daven to hand in hand with you grow old.
