Saw that!

Just wonder if it will only be in certain episodes or just the 'families' one.

Oy, Im so glad my child watched this years ago (like 10 years ago).
I wonder if there will be a backlash from any viewers?

Honestly, my ASD 8 yr old watches Peppa over & over. I'm pretty sure it'll go right over his head.

what they are actually is literal. very very literal. Its very relatable and reassuring for a kid on the spectrum who misses nuances and finds a lot of things very bewildering. We love Peppa. (Although I have to admit I am very curious who the "new" couple is!)

This is the least of peppa pig issues.
It’s incredibly rude. The piggy kids call their parents horrible names and make fun of them it’s really awful.

I don’t like how they always make the father come out as really stupid.

Haven't you noticed? Every single father, in every single show is made to look like a silly buffoon. And this is true with many of the kids books as well, starting with the Berenstain bears.

I remember my seminary teacher saying we shouldn’t allow our kids to read non Jewish books especially Berenstein Bear books for that reason and we all laughed and snickered. Now looking back, I can honestly say she’s right.

OTOH tough I don’t want my kids reading frum books without women in them so it’s a catch-22….

There are plenty of Jewish frum books with women and girls. In fact I can hardly think of any without. (Not referring to frum magazines who don't feature pictures of women. )
Artscroll, feldheim and hachai all have women in their picture books.

Hehe yes!
My 2 year old loves it and he follows alomg so well.

But I hate the silly daddy bit.

My 8 year old with Asd still watches and these things would def go in. I wouldnt let my kids watch the new ones without knowing whats in it.

That's why I loved Daniel Tiger. The dad is involved and competent
