Help me stay motivated

Need to lose 30 lbs to get to a healthy weight. I know what I have to do. I’m just so unmotivated sometimes. Sometimes I’m good to go, but other times it’s just easier to just eat my kids dinner or snacks then prepare a whole healthy meal.
I also have such a hard time working out.

Aside from wanting to be healthier and skinnier, how else can I stay motivated

2 things I do to stay motivated:

1) I have a picture of myself when I was a bride (smallest I’ve ever been) hanging in my kitchen. It helps me stay motivated not to reach for that cookie.
2) I joined homepro workout program. I told my husband that if a day goes by that I don’t do at least one workout on it I will cancel my subscription. They have some 5 minute workouts.
I’m too embarrassed to cancel so I make sure to do at least 15 min workout a day.

Motivation wanes. What you need to do is discipline yourself so when it does, habit kicks in.

Pick a goal or a time you’ll be at a Simcha or event and want to look good. I find it an easy tip that your alarm in the morning should say that event or remind yourself of the diet so you go into the day with that mindset. Additionally, look at it as a competition or a challenge that you get the opportunity to do not a punishment. There is a lot of healthy food out there that is DELICIOUS and ways to make healthier substitutions to your old diet!!! Best of luck!!!
