my 3 week old has an appointment tomorrow, what should I expect? My baby is sick with a cold (caught it from an older sibling). Has stuffy nose, no fever, cranky, nursing a bit off but I'm pumping and bottle feeding, occasional small cough... Anyone else been through this before with a new baby?

Nothing. It'll pass iyh.
No fever is good.
DC had fever at 7 weeks Dr went to send us in for spinal tap. Bh I reached the other Dr at the practice which disagreed.

As long as no fever and baby ain’t working hard to breathe, don’t worry. Dealing with the same with my baby the same age.

with babies this age the concern is difficulty breathing even from a simple cold. They do not have the typical signs of difficulty breathing so it can be hard to see.
The signs are chest retractions, more than a certain amount of breaths per minute-ask your doctor, grunting and not having energy to eat.
