Located in lakewood. I want to open an older 3 nursery group for September. I have been an assistant for a while now and ready to open my own group. A few questions.
Can I charge 500 hrs 9:20-3:20? I'm not sure location yet as I would rent a place.
Can I do 12 kids with no assistant?

Is this for next year? Because things can change till then.
I don’t think 12 kids with no assistant makes sense and I haven’t seen that. Usually it’s more kids with an assistant because once it’s more than 3 kids I’m not sure one person can manage all day. They don’t nap etc just need more hands.

I don't think it's safe to not have an assistant. What happens if you need to use the bathroom? Or if you have a sudden emergency

How many years of experience do you have? Five hundred sounds like a lot for a first time group, but reasonable for the hours you are giving. Also I would start with a slightly smaller group and once you feel like you have a good handle on the kids, you can take in more.

So how many kids would be ok to have in the group without an assistant? They are not babies. All toilet trained. I would do older 3 year olds turning 4 end of the year.

12 kids without an assistant is fine for that age. The Morah I sent to had 11 kids plus a baby and no assistant.
Price seems steep but idk what pricing will look like next year.

I think better 18 kids with an assistant
And charge $420/$450
I haven’t heard $500 yet even for 2 year olds

12 kids could be fine. If you have more than one hard kid, it may be too much.

What’s your plan if you need the bathroom?
