I bought something called shoulder London broil.
Is this the same as regular London broil. All the regular recipes say to just marinate and grill but maybe this is different and tougher ?
Anyone know? I bought this at gourmet glatt in Lakewood if it matters

I find Gourmet's shoulder London broil drier. Not sure why but maybe because London broil is usually made from a split minute roast which is from the mid to lower back of a cow, versus the shoulder.
Can still be used for any London broil recipe. It will be even more important to marinate overnight, use oil, and cook just until medium.

Thanks ra mom!
Anything special I can put in the marinate to soften it. I just followed a recipe I found with soy sauce, honey, garlic...

Also How long to grill each side ? It's a little over a pound.

Just add some oil to the marinade and keep it in a ziploc in the refrigerator for a day to absorb.
At that size I would do about 5 minutes per side at 525.
