I don’t have TikTok. What were his responses?

I don’t feel they’re being profaned. I just get uneasy, because it looks like it would be so easy to ridicule them. I saw a clip on Instagram of a chassidish man dancing in front of the kallah during the mitzvah tanz, and there were so many negative comments about the way he was dancing, and how bored she looked holding the gartel. They just didn’t get the whole thing.

One could argue that MBC and all other musicians did this first by putting holy words to catchy music.
I can't remember the name but there's a really good Jewish novel series that follows a family through several generations and the grandfather who's a holocaust survivor is upset that the son or grandson is starting to create the Jewish scene in the 80s.
Today we're used to it but the song "yehei shmei raba"??? Dancing and singing to literally kaddish?? Imagine an old timer who said that over his friends bodies on auschwitz hearing that song. Kind of has a point.

MBC is more relatable for general audiences than a mitzvah tantz.

I think it's hysterical because I spent many happy hours analyzing the personality of each soloist with my friends as a pre-teen.
There are some non religious or formerly religious jews in tiktok who are being inspired. Many of them thoroughly rejected frum culture as boring and uncool and are now seeing it in a lighthearted way instead.
But I do get why some posters are uncomfortable. When you see a teenager in a revealing T shirt, shorts, the camera angle just so to get the most out of her figure, dancing to the words of tehillim sung by pure young boys, and talking about how they get the girls....I get it, it's not just people enjoying the music. They are performing and trying to get tiktok famous.
