Ugh! Come on. Just say thanks for the reminder and move on. Start a new post asking if it’s your responsibility if you want

Thank you! My dh is a Baal korei and actually remembered last night (b”H it was clean-he washed it months ago). But if he hadn’t this reminder could have saved us much Agmas nefesh later on!

So funny!
My husband is the baal tokeah for 15 years and I totally forgot that he has to wear a kittel for it. Apparently he's been taking care of it all this time. Maybe next year I'll be an aishes chayil and prepare it for him.

My thought was that OP was so thoughtful to share. Didn’t expect all these negative comments.
Classic example of how 2 people interpret things so differently.

I’m sure there is a psa on imafather, make sure to drop off your wife’s shabbos sheitel to be washed and set, and also don’t forget to pick it up.

Which my husband did both.

Funny. I thought everyone wears a kittel Rosh Hashana.
Maybe it’s exclusive to our chassidus?

Lol to this. I forgot. Large household Kah and working and this was not priority on my mind. Dh was annoyed that I forgot. His mother even remembered to ask him if I remembered to clean it for him. Banging head

I'm missing something. I washed my husband's kittel after pesach and hung it in his closet. What else needs to be done to it?

OP, tizku l'mitzvos. I'm not sure why this is so controversial.
And everyone else, if this is too stressful just tell your husbands that you love them but they'll be doing this themselves so set a reminder for the day or week after the last time they wear it for the year (YK or seder).

Some people forget. Or maybe there was a stain that they never got to the cleaners for, or maybe the chazan/tokea/etc. likes it ironed, etc.

No, not everyone wears a kittel on RH. It's very widespread, even in yeshivish circles, to the degree that teachers have told children whose fathers and grandfathers and great-grandfathers really don't that they're misremembering. Wink

Mine is neither, but if he reminds me to wash it or send it to the cleaners I will. Otherwise, it will likely be forgotten.

My dh kittel if he chooses to wear one is his responsibility. I don't understand why anyone would imagine it's mine, given that the man is neither mentally defective nor an underage child. OP means well, but she's perpetuating the myth that an akeres habayis has to be in control of everything. If my dh suit or shirt or kittel or tallis or mechzor or tallis zekel is not ready for YT, that's his problem. I have other things to take care of, and anything on his side of the "mechitzah" are not on my to-do list.

MY DH blows Shofar and is a Chazzan and I forgot about his Kittel. He was fine, took care of it himself.

DH's minhag is not to wash after Pesach. The wine stains being sort of a remembrance and zechus for kapparos avonos, or something like that.
