With crazy inflation and rising costs of everything from food to housing, how does everyone do it?

Have to cut down on certain things. Which is a little difficult Yom Tov time.
Tyh gas prices are slowly going down!

I’m spending extra time in the kitchen to cut down food costs. Buying less takeout and prepared foods.
More mix and match clothes than sets so less gets more wear.
Cut my cleaning lady’s hours.
Doing only free family activities.
Basically a bunch of little things that add up because we don’t have any big thing to cut.

Cut down on quantity of food. Unfortunately we cut down on lots of healthier eating options too.
Only eat fleishigs twice a week instead of the entire week.
Stopped using disposables as much as possible
No trips or vacations
No cleaning help
Wear as many hand me downs as possible. Try to buy clothes off season when they go on sale .

Cut out disposables.
Cheaper dinners when we can (we've started making sushi salad with canned salmon as an example).
Kids wear mostly hand me downs whenever possible.

Less groceries, and even then my bills are double of what they used to be.
Less eating out (zero, basically)
Less traveling (also basically zero unless we get a free ride)

I feel like we're the only one's in my community that are feeling inflation. It seems like everyone around us is going on with their expensive lifestyle.

Work as much as possible.
Make a special trip to buy groceries in the cheapest store.
Cut down/out expensive snacks.
Don't eat out often at all.
Don't buy gifts "just because" for family I didn't see in a while (or buy very simple).
Buy fruit and veggies in season (Israel).
Stretch leftovers as long as my kids will tolerate.
Pack my lunch for work (DH does as well) so won't be tempted to buy.
Check the local thrift store first before I go out to buy new (most of our pajamas, school skirts and tshirts come from there.... I get my work clothes there too).
Choose activities based on price (including gas...) with special credit card discounts etc. for chol hamoed/vacation.
Not offer to pay for other people (I used to do that for family a lot if we were together at an activity or pizza).
Not go into stores without a specific purpose. Not bring my kids into stores!

Also bake my own deserts even though I don't really like to bake.
Always bring my own snacks if we go out as a family.

Baking challah and deserts
In General watching grocery bills and being creative
I need to cut my cleaning help and I’ve always Consider cleaning help a luxury and had and didn’t have depending on the years but I’m not Managing now and I don’t know how I’m gonna do it
Didn’t do a sleepover vacation this summer
It’s not easy cutting things out when you already try do spend the bare minimum

We aren’t affording life right now. Using lots of savings that we’re intended for future expenses (kids college, weddings, helping kids when they start off)
Grateful to have the savings- but this is not sustainable. We can’t really cut back on much right now.
