I use tesco baking potatoes or if I’m short on time the ready peeled potatoes sold in the kosher shops. Always comes out amazing. And if it doesn’t, you can always save face and overnight it.

On a complete different note, I have a question.
Have you received in your butcher order these HUGE roasters or Roaster Legs?

I also have a question.
Where in golders green/hendon do you have your sheitels washed and set and other than Rifka'a salon where do you buy new sheitels not costing £2000+?

Asda has amazing potatoes for kugel. They used to be called 'Marabel' and have now changed to 'Belle'. Most of the time they are foolproof and give my kugel an amazing deep yellow colour, and superb taste. Last week they were disappointing. And I did a big batch to freeze for YT so super disappointing.
Usually they are brilliant. Vivaldi from sains are also great but these are better. I'm anonymous 'cos I'm always telling everyone about these potatoes IRL .

Yes, I'm very fussy about my kugels. They are superb.
Perhaps try just a small batch? And try them again in the right season!

They are identical, except for the size. The baking ones have 4 very large potatoes in a pack, and the other is a 2kg package.

I do overnight in the crockpot and when I have used different potatoes (due to my favourite not being available) you can most certainly taste the difference between inferior, good and absolutely delicious.
Also, if the potatoes have an earthy taste, you can't mask it

I can help you with this. Would you buy from someone in Stamford hill? I just got a new Sheitel for YT. It came out Gorgeous and didn't cost me the earth AND she had fantastic service.

So I ordered them online. The packets I bought last week weren't great, but 3-4 weeks ago they were amazing. They did get mouldy quickly as the reviews say, so it's best to use them within a few days of purchasing.
The Marabels were always perfect, and didn't rot quickly. I miss them. But these are close.
