There's a drop off box by Chesed on 14th Ave between 37 & 38 but no guarantee that the clothes don't get sold by tbe pound (like all other places do in Brooklyn).

It's a help when I want to get rid of things and don't care where they end up.
When I want the good items used by another family now, I'm not going to get that by donating here. I end up having to find my own shidduch to give away to since there are no used Brooklyn gemachs that actually give clothes away. They all got overwhelmed by the donations of garbage that they had to sort through and stopped taking donations. Or they just sell the clothes for pennies per pound like Pick Purple does and then take the profit for their tzadakah (of course that is something, I'm just explaining so people know where their clothes end up).

So in that same vein then does the place on 17/59 redistribute to families who need? I always thought they did..
