Was it a grease fire? Is the burned part burned on grease?
You need to degrease it or else it will flare up again. Do you have a bottle of oven cleaning agent?

I have st Moritz
Should I spray it on top of oven?
I was broiling salmon and it caught on fire so I guess it's a grease fire but no grease spilled. Maybe it splattered.
