Our shul also has a special Bein Hazmanim minyan at 8:00 a.m., which my boys go to. They have breakfast in shul and stay to learn afterwards, which is really nice as it keeps them busy (happily!) for most of the morning. The they come home for lunch (which they make themselves as I am at work) and I leave them a list of things to do, like shopping and errands. They take care of going to the dry cleaners, toiveling any new dishes, polishing the silver, getting haircuts, going to the supermarket if I make them a list, yard work, and most importantly, they build and decorate the sukkah! There are so many things to do this time of year and they prefer to be busy then bored. If any fun activities are arranged with their friends, they of course do that as well. Boredom is never an issue BH.
