I make challah using 5 lbs of flour, but sometimes some flour spills out of the mixing bowl during the mixing process. Am I not able to make hafrasha with the bracha then if it may not be *exactly* 5 lbs? What should I do?

AYLOR, but I think the 5 pounds is enough of an approximation that unless you are spilling a full cup, you're probably fine.

My regular challah recipe is 1-2 cups less than 5 lbs. I was told that Hafrashas Challah with a bracha is for a minimum of (I think) 13 cups. 5 lb. is between 16 and 18 cups. I'm sure there are different opinions, but I'm pretty sure a bit less than 5 lbs. is always ok.

I was taught that hafrasha with a bracha is required for 12 cups or more. 5 lbs is way more than that.
Nothing to worry about.
