Had a family member who used it as an adult and he found it was making him angry for no reason :-(

Sorry I don't have more or better info to share

My husband used it, he was both really agitated on it and passing out.

My heart goes out to you!! I think it was keppra that a Close family member of mine(adult) used it for a short time until she went off. Was making her very angry, couldn't think rationally, etc. I'm 99% it was keppra as she was on trial for different meds until went back to original one...
Lots of love xx

Keppra can be a good choice. Everything is very specific depending on the person if it will help or not. In terms of the agitation that people have mentioned, taking vitamin B6 along with the Keppra ( we give 1x a day after morning dose) mitigates that side effect. Speak to your neurologist about it. Not a reason not to try it imho.

Took it as an adult and developed rhabdomyolysis. Beware of side effects. Monitor closely.

My son had "keprage" on it too (that's what his Dr called it). Took it briefly but literally broke my house in a rage. He switched to trileptal and he tolerated that well. It has a slower built up though so I'm not sure if you are switching from a different medicine but just be aware for the first week or two or however long you are building up to the therapeutic dose he won't have coverage. At a higher dose of trileptal my son was having difficulty concentrating, we lowered it and he the side effect went away. Good luck! I hope you find something that doesn't have any side effects!

My SN daughter was not out on Keppra since the neuro said we were already dealing with behavioral issues.
She has been on depakote, onfi and lamictal along with the keto diet and she has become seizure free

My child was on keppra starting at 8 months. You can take B6 with it to help with side effects like keppra rage. We tried the Keto diet too. It was hard but I thought the hardest part would be that he wouldn’t want to eat (he was a very picky eater). Surprisingly he did really well in that sense and adapted to the diet quickly
