So I get it, the new trend is to have homemade desserts that are keeping in theme with the parsha. Rainbow challah for parshas Noach, cakes in the shape of the luchos, etc etc.

I think this is offensive and also I think this is discrimination against women who hate to bake. It's also not diverse. And it's ageist and racist. I'll think of more problems with this whole setup soon, but it's surely anti-feminist. That's my stance and I'm sticking to it. We need to do more teaching that has nothing to do with me going back to the kitchen and painstakingly crafting camel cookies with food-coloring soaked sprinkles to resemble their spit.

I'll start. For parshas Lech Lecha, I'm going to wake up my older boys an hour early and tell them to go to shul. No arguing, did Avraham argue with Hashem??? Then I'll tell my younger kids at about 2pm to go take a walk by themselves. I think this is learning Torah at its finest.

Any other ideas?

I don't understand if you are lazy why would you want to wake up an hour early to wake up your older boys why not just stay in bed.

You could change their names, go to a bris, take them out at night to see the stars. You could tell them to go somewhere but not tell them where they are going to. Hide them in boxes. Have a war and take captives. Laugh.
Ooh here’s a good one. Make them dust the house. Show them next week that it’s dusty again. Explain that one reason the Jewish nation are compared to dust is because we cannot be defeated or gotten rid of, we keep coming back like dust!

You could skip meals and tell them there’s a hunger in the land.
You could take them yo the restaurant and they must keep their masks (muzzles) on
You could give each of them a servant
You could go around giving brachos to everyone, whoever gives a Bracha gets a Bracha in return

You could take them to a sandbox and tell them todays activity is yo count the sand
I think I have the wrong parsha but it’s still a good parsha activity

For Beraishis, instead of making dioramas with each of the days of creation, I let my two boys fight with each other. I asked one where the other brother is and I was told “dunno”.

My chinuch is complete.

I've been practicing since simchas Torah.
"No eating your siblings' nosh from shul! That's not yours! You can only eat from your nosh, over here. "

Baking cake sounds easier

Oh this is a great thread.

Here is a gruesome suggestion:

Have your kids cut the pet dog in half and walk between the parts
