Hi Ladies,
Any tips on keeping the pleats nice on Uniform skirt/jumper?
I see some, but very few girls in school who's look perfect like new? Are they sending them to be pressed, what is their secret to ironing them so perfectly ?

What sort of skirt is it- is it a solid poly pleated skirt?

When you get them new perfectly pressed, maintain them. Don't shmush into hamper (I have my girls neatly lay them on top of the washing machine). Wash on cold. Shake out so pleats are sitting right, and hang to dry immediately.

IMO,It's time to rethink uniforms. Something that will wash well, easy to maintain and put on in the morning rush.

When wash fold it in a mesh bag so the pleats stay during the washing hang right away
This was a life changer

Trying to decide if I should do this.
I always sent my hs DDs' uniforms to the cleaners, because they just don't seem to be as "washable" as the elementary school uniforms.

I wash them on cold and iron the pleats on low before hanging to fully dry, then iron the pleats again on a higher setting

yes, so I do all that but after a while they show wear n tear. Wondering if ppl press them or give it out?
