My 1 year old is going to the babysitter for the 1st time. I need to send along lunch but I have no idea what to send. She doesn’t eat much at home a bite of this and a bite of that, I can’t send along fifty options cuz the babysitter won’t spend an hour feeding her (which is what I do at home when I need her to eat). She went twice already and I sent a few options and both times the babysitter said she only took a bite of yogurt and didn’t eat- I don’t think she tried the other stuff. Any ideas would be really helpful

What did your baby eat at home?
Baby jars, baby cereal, finger food?
Pasta, cooked vegetables, apple sauce.
Does he eat bread yet?

Have you gotten your baby evaluated for feeding issues?
It sometimes takes 7-10 exposures to a new food to develop a liking for it
(im a feeding specialist)

I'm a babysitter. I don't mind trying different foods. This is what I do mind...
Very messy finger foods.
Containers of yogurt, baby food, etc that don't reclose in case the baby doesn't finish it.
Sending only food that has to be spoon fed when the baby knows how to eat finger foods. I have other kids to take care of.
I've had babies who won't eat finger food. Then the mother comes and starts putting pieces of food in the baby's mouth. That's why the baby doesn't eat it! He/ she doesn't know how to use his/ her own hands because mommy does it for them.

Foods you pick up and eat.

So for adults, things like pizza.

For babies, pretty much anything solid enough.

I usually send dinner leftovers from the night before.

Yesterday was corn salad, chicken strips, cubed baked apple.

A few bites of applesauce/jars, a few bites of gerber puffs or cereal, yogurt. I tried pasta, bread in different ways, waffles, pancakes, fishsticks, meatballs and other stuff that would be ez for the babysitter to feed her but she still won’t eat

Yes she actually has feeding therapy but I’m finding it unhelpful/waste of time
