I've had mine for about 5 years now, it is noticeably oxidized and lighter since I bought it, but it still looks good and is my primary sheital--my other Shabbos sheitel is older. It's going to have to last me another year and a half.

Mine oxidized after about 2 years. The hair is still nice, but the color makes me look washed out. I'm considering donating it - maybe the color will be nice on someone else.
(as to dying it, my experiences with dying oxidized sheitels has not been positive, so I haven't bothered.)

same after already 5 months my wigs became all frizzy and gross one blunt and one curly none were lace

I have mine for 6+ years. That’s being said, when I got it they made it very very full. Bought another one recently and you really can’t compare. Lace is delicate than the regular skintop plus it’s much thinner.

Dying a Brunette wig works really well and gives the wig life. Don't know about other colors

This is so confusing.
I read one thread where Irenes (Blondes) are preferred by 49%,
