what kind of chocolate is good for melting for chocolate fountain? the wilton melting wafers are very expensive and not seeing such great reviews. any other kosher chocolates out there that could work? dark is fine, doesnt have to be milk chocolate.

Iirc I use regular baking chocolate cut up with a drop oil to help it come out smooth

Ive used chocolate chips and some oil ( in accordance w fountain instructions). Has worked very well

Depends on your event.
If you want high end, use Belgian chocolate that can be purchased in huge blocks at Costco or a simpler way is as others have written, regular chocolate chips

thank you all for replying. would anyone be able to tell me how many pounds for a party of about 40 people? can I use a fountain that holds 2 lbs and keep refilling? or am I better off using a 4 lb fountain?
