What type of polos do the older boys (4th grade and up) wear? Only solid colors? Stripes? 3 color blocks? I see so many nice designs on shein, but I don’t want my kid to be the uniquely dressed kid.

I don't know that school. But generally speaking buy nice shirts and your son will be fine. It's cheaper to buy solid shirts so poorer kids where solids. Some patents into name brands where expensive ones.
