This thread is so sad. It is nauseating how people think it's okay to send babies to a babysitter who has 12 babies. It child neglect and just horrible.

Cause you think you aren't 'cut out' for it.
Noone is. It's absolutely exhausting and lonely.
I don't babysit but I empathize well with people and have concluded they should be making alot more than they do so they can feel better about such a challenging and unrewarded job.
Be grateful there are some nice ones out there! |
THIS. You said it. I babysit and agree 1000%
If its such a moneymaking job, why is there a shortage? Noone wants to do the dirty work, but expects the babysitter to do it. After a day of changing, feeding, rocking, holding, wiping kids, you feel like a shmatta. Never mind the mess it leaves and the dirty diaper smell. An office job does not leave you like that. IMO they should be getting a lot more.. There's a price to pay to care for another child other than your own.
